The Temples of Mystery and Learning
Wisdom Fire (Wise Women)
The Wisdom Fire is the place of the Matriarchs and Elders. Here the backbone and keel of the gathering is held. Here the wisdom of gathered years pours into the community to nourish, teach, steady and guide the youngers. Here are the weavers, weaving the context and storyline of where we come from and where we are going. This is the place to land and orient to your place in the wheel as a mature woman. This is the place where our full village ceremonies and rituals are woven.
Healer’s Sanctuary (Medicine Woman)
Many women are called to the Healers Path. It could be a journey of learning and healing sparked by her own disharmony, illness or unwellness. It could be that her medicine is ignited through the changing time of wild woman and she begins to walk the path of medicine woman. It could be that she was created to be a healer for her people and she chose to follow the path from young time. However she came and however long she walks as a Healer, this beautiful path has so many branches, faces, expressions and mediums. If this is you or where you are in life, come and infuse in the healers sanctuary to touch in to the heart of healing. The Healer’s Sanctuary also includes the Temazcal.
Shapeshifter Lodge (Wild Ones)
This is a nongendered lodge for shapeshifters, edgewalkers, visionaries and those betwixt and between. It is a place on the outskirts of the village to attune to the wild, the feral, the unconforming, the medicine becoming. This is a mysterious place of descent, of transformation and deconforming, where we court the liminal, the unseen, the moon and the deep power and truth within. Here we welcome those in the unbecoming state of the Molt. It beings leaving known roles and identities. In this space you will be invited to feel your untameable wildness, the transition you are in, the medicine within, and the more-than-human guides offering imagery to guide you to shed a role, an identity, a life passage and open into deeper knowing of yourself as a mythic being.
Hearth and Mother’s Den (Mother)
The Hearth is the center of the village. The source of life that holds the warmth of the womb and the sweetness of Mama’s milk. Here, we sit at the Mother’s feet. This is the temple of nourishment. Tea and food is bountiful. The smell of broth on the fire will invite you in. The softness of rose can tend to your heart. You are cared for and you are welcomed, just as you are. Have the Hearth be your resting place. A gravity point for you to drop back into your center. Your place for song and crafting. This space is for all women, in all seasons of Maiden, Mother, Mages and Crone, to gather and tell stories. The sounds of babies suckling and children laughing will bring you back home. Two interactive altars will be here to serve all and intend to inspire the hearth in every woman.
Within the Hearth lives the Mother’s Den. A separate lounge just a few steps away through a living breezeway path that will guide Mothers and their young to the nesting grounds. It is quiet in the den. This space glows with tenderness and soothes like the spirit of peppermint. The den emanates the sweet breath of life, for that is what it is filled with. Here, intimate circles for the journey of motherhood will be held.
Temple of Gaian Eros (Lover)
The Temple of Gaian Eros is a place of devotional love-making through wild aliveness, generative creativity and sensual symbiosis. Here we invoke and dance with Gaia as the animating force of earthly creation. Together we reclaim the holiness and innocence of desire as the soul’s compass, guiding us to trust in the ever unfurling mystery. This temple illuminates the thriving magic all around and within us, and offers a river bed to channel our wild aliveness as praise to the living earth. We open to viscerally remember our innate belonging in earth, in our bodies, in the web of life, and in the forest and village of human kin. We pulse in celebration of each being’s unique spark of luminous lifeforce as a generative contribution to the greater whole. This space is open to all living human temples of Gaian love and eros, as conduits for sacred elemental energies. Here we ignite in the light of love, cultivating our capacity to be intimate with all facets of life through emotional authenticity, sensual attunement and liberated creative expression.
Moon Lodge
The Moon Lodge is a Lunar Temple of Light and Shadow situated at the fertile edge between the village and the forest. This is the space where the individual journey meets and merges with the greater turnings of the cosmic cycles. Here, we can remember ourselves as cyclical beings, aligning the microcosm of our own bodies with the rhythms of nature as expressed through the phases of the moon, the seasonal wheel of the year, and the mythic stages of the feminine soul journey. As women, we are each an embodiment of the Divine Feminine, invited to move at the pace of the Earth, attuning to Her tides of ebb and flow, creation and destruction, life, death, rebirth and all the nuances and potentialities in between. This temple honors every phase of womanhood, in reverence and devotion to the deep medicine of each facet of our ever revolving and evolving nature. This space contextualizes the finite Self as a reflection of the Infinite, a space of devotion for the temple of our unique forms that house, and can harmonize with, the energies of the whole universe. Here we explore the blood mysteries, womb wisdom, self knowing, fertility and release.
Maiden Path (Maiden)
We are inviting our daughters who are between the ages of 11 and 17, in the midst of adolescence at this precious and tender time of first budding, to come together to be embraced by, and woven into, the larger community, claiming their power and birthright as women. The maidens will have the opportunity to see themselves and find their place within the greater context of the woman’s soul journey, and to orient to the specific tasks and gifts of their particular stage. We will welcome these young ones into the mysteries, teaching them the ways in which their Sacred Self is a temple that contains and expresses the same rhythms and power of Gaia herself. Our girls will begin to learn the arts of tending this temple, inside and out, with reverence and devotion. Threading the themes of womb wisdom, intuition, social belonging, sexual self-knowledge, confidence and personal sovereignty- our maidens will receive an awareness of the magic and medicine inherent in this time of blossoming. They will experience a Menarche ceremony Saturday to ceremonially cross this threshold into the Circle of Women, and have an opportunity to witness the richness of the journey ahead. On Sunday we will bring the Elders and the Maidens together in council to integrate and ground the learnings of the weekend, allowing the voices of experience to mirror and reflect the voices of innocence, that we may come into the deep resonance of the fullness of the cycle from its conception to its completion.
Havens of Nurture and Art
The Kitchen
Our kitchen is rooted in co-creation and collaboration with the land to bring deep nourishment to the village to fuel our prayers, our tears, our ceremonies and our becoming. The kitchen witches will be humming with juicy abundance and love to provide a rainbow of offerings to nourish all of your senses with healing care and joy infused in every dish. We will be serving 6 vegan gluten free meals with dairy and gluten sides.
Sanctuary of the Ancient Arts
We all have memories and echoes of doing traditional craft in our bones. Come create and be inspired in community. Add a layer to the collective altar weaving piece, bring garments to dye with plants, try fiber arts, make a talisman or clay figure to bake in the fire to bring home infused with the medicine of the gathering. Many supplies and offerings will be available to follow the thread of your wild muse.
Kid’s Camp
The kids camp is the children’s village within the village – designed to foster connection, creativity, curiosity, truth, presence and play. This space is an invitation for the children 5+ to journey with the land, the elements, and one another through activities, crafts, and guided field trips.
