The pre-gathering vision fast is an opportunity for women who recognize the call of soul to go out on the mountain and pray for a vision. It is for women who are in transformation and long for time away from the busyness of life to truly slow down and listen. It is for women unraveling from a long held identity, women longing to rewild, women molting, women called to live their sacred truth into the world. 

In the wild lands above Sacred Nectar, among mountain streams and wild beings, under a canopy of trees and stars, you will be invited to step through the portal to seek the place where your dream and the Earth’s dream meet. A vision fast creates an opening for you to retrieve and restore some of your ‘original instructions’ so you can re-member who you truly are in your bones. By engaging deeply with Mystery, Earth, and the other-than-human ones, you will gain perspective, insight and courage to live with greater authenticity in the world.

This is not just any vision quest. It is an opportunity to fast within the context of the Forest and Village gathering– to go up the mountain while the village is forming to gain perspective and listen for how your heart’s prayer and longing is exactly what the world is longing of you. 

Women called to this pre-gathering vision fast will arrive at Sacred Nectar, Sunday afternoon July 26th.  At our base camp, you will be prepared for the solo fast. Through a series of experiences you will be guided to hone your intentions, identify obstacles and fears holding you back from walking your truth, and gather inner resources for this vision fast.

The 48-hour solo will take place at a spot you find – a spot that feels like a good place to die and a good place to be born.  This fast will be your time out on the land to open your whole being to guidance, inspiration, and clarity. You will cross the threshold into the Mystery and magic of your depths, and be held and mirrored by the living Earth, to reanimate your wild self, and be with your soul in all its beauty.

You’ll be welcomed back to our base camp on Thursday morning and then we will descend together to the Forest Temple where we will spend the rest of the day. Thursday afternoon we will hear the sacred stories from your fast, reflect what we see, and help you recognize the luminous and numinous threads of what is happening in and through you. 

Forest and Village officially begins at 5:30pm Thursday evening with dinner. You are free to participate in the fullness of the gathering however you choose. You are invited to camp at the Forest Temple during the gathering to maintain a home base at the edge of the village (if you choose) and support the village keepers in tending these temple grounds for the offerings that will take place there.

Details of the Flow:
Arrive at Sacred nectar, 3pm Sunday, July 26.
Go up together part way up the mountain to set up our base camp.
Set up camp, prepare dinner, opening council.
Monday we will spend the day together preparing for the fast.
Tuesday 8am – Thursday 8am – Solo fast.
Thursday morning arrive back at base camp. Break fast and then move to Forest Temple. Thursday afternoon sacred story circle.
Thursday evening – Sunday afternoon: Forest and Village main event.
